Fear(s) of the Dark
Six Graphic Artists Render Visions of Terror
Fri & Sat February 20 & 21
2009, 7:00 & 9:00

What is more frightening to you? Spiders? Needles? Darkness? A group of international artists was commissioned to create these black-and-white animations that explore the things that make them jump and squirm. Fear(s) of the Dark leaves shock and gore to the horror genre, instead offering a half-dozen studies in creeping dread and ominous situations. Narration threads throughout the film. One of the graphic sequences is intercut with some of the vignettes; others are presented unpunctuated.
